Leaving Torino on the Corso Casale road, you are facing the land of San
Raffaele Cimena, the highest of the hills on the horizon.
It appears as a peninsula on the Padana Plains,(Pianura Padana) sloping down to rest on the banks of the River Po.
The houses anchored on the crest of the hill form the little village of "Alto di San Raffaele" (the highlands), with such a magnificent view such as is often
attributed to the villages of medioeval times.
